We are pioneers in alternative propulsion technologies

Two of the Hyundai Xcient Fuel Cells are in use for our customer PENNY at the Großbeeren location near Berlin. There, they drive around 20 hours a day in two-shift operation to up to three PENNY supermarkets per shift. Fueled with 31 kilos of hydrogen, the trucks can cover about 400 kilometres on a single tank. The hydrogen truck handed over last week in Gelsenkirchen is on the road for EDEKA Foodservice in and around Gelsenkirchen. It covers an average of about 300 kilometres per day delivering to restaurants and canteen kitchens, for example in nursing homes.

Thanks to the electric motor and the resulting elimination of gearshifts, the truck is characterised by a very pleasant and quiet driving experience.

They were eagerly awaited, now they are here - the first two fuel cell trucks in Meyer Logistik's fleet.

Rethinking competence in freshness

Seit gut drei Jahren bietet Meyer Logistik auch "Medical Services“ an. Mit einer Flotte von mittlerweile über 40 Fahrzeugen – teilweise elektrisch angetrieben – werden von den Standorten Essen und Iserlohn aus täglich rund 6.000 medizinische Proben bei Arztpraxen und Kliniken im gesamten Ruhrgebiet eingesammelt und zum Labor im Hygieneinstitut Gelsenkirchen zur weiteren Analyse gebracht.
