Responsible conduct and compliance with applicable laws and regulations are top priorities for the MEYER Group. As a family-owned, medium-sized group of companies with a long-standing tradition, we stand for reliability, integrity, fairness and respect. These values guide our daily activities and are firmly embedded in all our corporate principles.
To meet our high ethical standards and legal obligations, we have established a comprehensive compliance programme. This central compliance page provides information about our Code of Conduct for all employees, our Supplier Code of Conduct for business partners, our group-wide Compliance Policy, and our whistleblowing system. Potential violations of laws, regulations or internal policies can be reported through the MEYER Group’s whistleblowing portal. We promote an open corporate culture in which compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards is actively practised and trust forms the foundation of all business relationships.
The MEYER Group Code of Conduct establishes binding principles and rules for ethical and legally compliant behaviour by all employees and managers. Mutual trust, honesty and respect form the foundation of how we work together. The Code emphasises that we not only require compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies but also actively promote a culture of integrity and fairness.
Every individual is responsible for avoiding conflicts of interest and acting honestly and fairly in their daily work. Managers have a particular responsibility to lead by example. We encourage all employees to raise concerns about potential violations openly or report them through the designated reporting channels, without fear of retaliation or adverse consequences. In this way, the Code of Conduct ensures that our values remain an integral part of our daily activities and that trust in our company is maintained.
The MEYER Group Supplier Code of Conduct defines our expectations of suppliers and business partners regarding lawful, responsible and sustainable business practices. We place great importance on ensuring that all partners throughout our supply chain adhere to high ethical standards, including fair working conditions, respect for human rights, active environmental protection and ethical business conduct.
Compliance with the principles set out in the Supplier Code of Conduct is a fundamental prerequisite for any business relationship with the MEYER Group. We maintain an open and transparent dialogue with our suppliers and reserve the right to verify compliance with these standards to ensure a sustainable value chain through our joint efforts.
Our group-wide Compliance Policy provides the organisational framework for our compliance management system. It describes the structures and processes through which we ensure compliance across the entire MEYER Group. The policy clearly defines responsibilities and establishes specific measures to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations and internal policies in every area of our business.
The Management Board is fully committed to these compliance principles and has established binding rules of conduct applicable to all employees and managers. For us, compliance means ensuring that all business activities are consistent with applicable legal requirements and our own ethical values. All violations are investigated and sanctioned without exception (zero-tolerance principle) to mitigate legal risks and safeguard our integrity. The Compliance Policy reinforces our commitment to fostering a corporate culture of responsibility and transparency.
In accordance with the requirements of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz – LkSG), the MEYER Group has established a group-wide complaints procedure. This mechanism enables all stakeholders, including our employees, suppliers and external third parties, to report potential violations of human rights or environmental due diligence obligations throughout our supply chain. Reports received are reviewed confidentially and processed promptly in accordance with a clearly structured procedure to address potential violations and initiate preventive measures.
Reports can be submitted in particular through our whistleblowing portal at https://meyergroup.whistlelink.com. The portal allows reports to be submitted both in writing and verbally, including anonymously. We ensure that all reports are handled fairly and transparently and that whistleblowers do not suffer any adverse consequences as a result of reporting concerns in good faith. The complaints procedure is a key component of our compliance system and demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards throughout our supply chain.
In accordance with the requirements of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, the MEYER Group has adopted a policy statement publicly affirming its responsibility to uphold human rights and environmental standards throughout its entire supply chain. This policy statement sets out the principles and measures we have established to fulfil our due diligence obligations.
Key elements of the policy statement include comprehensive risk management to identify and minimise risks at an early stage, preventive measures such as training for our employees and suppliers on social and environmental standards, and clearly defined procedures for taking immediate remedial action where violations are identified. In addition, we have established effective complaints mechanisms and are committed to transparent reporting on our progress in implementing the requirements of the LkSG.
Through this policy statement, the MEYER Group reaffirms its commitment to combining economic success with responsible, values-driven business practices. It serves as a guiding framework for meeting both our legal obligations and our own high standards of sustainability and ethical conduct.
